Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
The lab environment
Q: Real hardware or emulators? A: Real hardware. Cisco ISR / Catalyst / FTD are physical; Red Hat hosts are VMs with real licenses. Same experience as the exam.
Q: Can multiple people share one lab? A: No. Each slot is exclusive to one student — no interference.
Q: Is my lab state saved? A: By default we roll back to baseline after each slot. You can opt to "preserve config" at booking time (extra credits).
Connectivity
Q: Slow connection from mainland China?
A: Use the China direct-connect entry book.leopad.com.cn. Latency is usually < 30 ms.
Q: Do I need a client app? A: No. RDP and SSH both go through JumpServer's browser WebSocket — nothing to install.
Q: Network dropped during my lab. What happens? A: Just reconnect; JumpServer holds the session. If the rack itself failed, contact support and we'll 2× refund credits.
Account & credits
Q: How long do trial credits last? A: 7 days from sign-up.
Q: Do unused monthly credits roll over? A: No — subscriptions reset monthly, by design.
Q: Where do I enter a redeem code? A: After login, go to "Me / Credits" — there's a "Redeem code" button top right.
Support
Q: Support hours? A: Weekdays 9:00–22:00 (UTC+8) via WeCom / email. Emergency rack failures get 24/7 response.
Q: Can I request a new lab? A: Yes — post in the "Lab requests" board on the forum. When there's enough demand, we'll build it.
